Being a very young financial services consultant 9 years ago in 2012, it was not an easy path for a 22-year-old who decided to step into the financial services industry with no network or connections from the outside world. Being in his first job, Kelvin almost left the industry in the second year of his career due to overwhelming rejections. Who would want to trust their money or life savings with a 22-year-old lad? However, due to Kelvin’s persistence and the spirit of never giving up until he has tried his best, he pushed himself to achieve what he had achieved today. The daily door knocking at HDBs, surveying for leads at MRT stations and roadshows helped him to expand his network and clientele base which he built on consistently. Today (2021), Kelvin is the youngest ever MDRT qualifier in the EAS district and has 9 years of experience in the finance industry.
Kelvin believes in treating all his clients fairly and always only give professional financial advice based on clients’ needs. He does not believe in product pushing and instead make sure that his clients understand the importance of financial planning and financial literacy before they sign up for any plans or policies. Updating and reviewing clients financial portfolio every year is also what he has been doing throughout the years which gains the trust of his existing clients. He strongly believes that effort and hard work will definitely bring positive results.
